The Conscious Perspective was born out of the desire to create a space for those seeking to live a conscious life. This is a difficult task when the reality of everyday life interferes. Our hope is that you will visit us and give yourself a small break during your day to nourish your mind, body, and spirit. Our content will provide you with ideas and inspiration on how to live a full life, and hopefully you can connect with others who are on the same path.

My online writing career began in 2007 at the age of 24, when I spent years making my way around the internet freelance writing for online publications mainly focused on family-related subjects. In 2010 I found myself published in a large Canadian magazine focused on Organic Farming, and I knew that it was simply a matter of time before I would launch my own blog where I could write about the things that mattered most to me. In the spring of 2011 I launched The Conscious Perspective.

Since the launch of this blog I have been making my way around the internet writing about conscious living on blogs including Kris Carr.com (formerly Crazy, Sexy, Life), Tiny Buddha,  BlogHer, and Gabrielle Bernstein’s website HerFuture.com as one of the “Blogs We Dig”. Beginning in January 2013 I will be featured on Beliefnet as a regular contributor.

In addition to my work on The Conscious Perspective, in early 2012 I Co-Founded a new social venture, Charitable Influence, where we focus on connecting Non-Profit organizations to a growing blogger database.  In late 2012 I  was featured in an article on BlogHer focusing on the rise of the Social Good, one of passions, which can be found here.

I currently reside in Peterborough, Ontario with my Partner and three young sons and along with  working toward accomplishing my Undergraduate degree at Trent University, I am in the process of writing my first book.
