Currently Listening To… The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
Last week I purchased a new audiobook… A book that has caught my eye numerous times over the past year, yet I never felt enough of a pull to pick it up until now.
That book is The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom (A Toltec Wisdom Book)by Don Miguel Ruiz.
To give you an idea of what the book is about, here is an excerpt from The Four Agreements:
“Everything we do is based on agreements we have made – agreements with ourselves, with other people, with God, with life. But the most important agreements are the ones we make with ourselves. In these agreements we tell ourselves who we are, how to behave, what is possible, what is impossible. One single agreement is not such a problem, but we have many agreements that come from fear, deplete our energy, and diminish our self-worth.”
Sounds interesting right? It has also been on the New York Times best-seller list for eight of the fifteen years it has been published.
The audiobook is a short one – only 2.5 hours long – and since I have a road trip in my near future I will listen then.
Review to come next week! (If you’ve read it, please share your thoughts!)
